Mr Olivier Amar says, “Biotherapy PRP is an intense non-surgical treatment that can help reverse signs of ageing, heal and rejuvenate the skin and even slow hair loss – an issue which affects more and more men and women and can affect self-esteem and confidence.”
WHAT IS BIOTHERAPY PRP?
PRP, also known as Platelet Rich Plasma, is a natural, non-surgical treatment that uses the regenerative power of your own blood. Blood contains platelets and other cells that naturally work to heal damaged or aged tissues. Platelets play a vital role in healing by releasing growth factors, which are proteins that stimulate the growth and repair of specific tissues. Biotherapy PRP is a super-concentrated, bespoke form of PRP which can be used to regenerate the skin of the face, decolletage, neck and hands, and, when injected into the scalp, can act like a fertiliser to the follicles, slowing down and reducing hair loss.
WHY CONSIDER BIOTHERAPY PRP?
You may require a personalised, highly concentrated plasma formula, created to be specific to you and your specific concerns.
These may include ageing skin, pigmentation, wrinkles, sagging and hair loss.
It can be used alongside other hair loss treatments, such as pharmaceutical products, hair transplant surgery or Mr Olivier Amar’s specialised fat transfer system Kerastem, which can help regrow lost hair.
It offers more intense regeneration than Express PRP, but uses more blood and the procedure takes longer to perform.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?
For your safety, Mr Olivier Amar first personally examines every patient and takes a medical history before considering the correct course of treatment for them.
Around 60mls – of blood will be taken from your arm by the same method as a blood test. This blood is then placed in a centrifuge for around 25b minutes, to extract and separate regenerative blood cells which are concentrated in the plasma, or clear, liquid part of the blood. The exact concentration of platelets and other blood components in your PRP solution will be precisely adjusted according to the condition being treated.
This super-enriched form of PRP will then be ready to infuse into areas of ageing skin on the face and body or into the scalp to encourage hair growth.
If you are having hair loss treatment, your scalp will first be numbed using a local anaesthetic to ensure your comfort. Treatment takes around one hour. For optimum results, Mr Olivier Amar recommends two to three treatments, four weeks apart, plus a yearly maintenance treatment.
