“I was the BAAPS/ ScarFree Foundation Aesthetic Fellow at the Cadogan Clinic in 2017. I chose to do this fellowship at the Cadogan Clinic as it has a good track record and a good reputation. Prior to starting the fellowship, I met with Mr Mayou and Mr Amar and we were able to devise a program that would suit my training requirements. I was exposed to a wide variety of cases, both surgical and non-surgical, and this had greatly enhanced my experience and ability to develop my aesthetic practice in the future. I found the team at the clinic to be very welcoming and made my time at the clinic very memorable.
I spent a lot of time with Mr Olivier Amar, both in clinic and in theatre. I found this experience very enriching, as not only was I exposed to the clinical assessment of various conditions, but also to their surgical management. With Olivier, I was able to discuss the management of challenging cases and we were able to formulate the appropriate surgical plans. Moreover, he is keen to be involved in research. During my time at the Cadogan Clinic, Olivier and I have undertaken various research projects, which have led to presentations at BAAPS annual meeting and peer-reviewed publications. Olivier also has a very innovative approach to aesthetic practice and is always thinking of bringing in new techniques and devices into his practice, which I found to be interesting and stimulating. All in all, my time at the Cadogan Clinic and time spent with Olivier Amar was very rewarding, and I would whole-heartedly recommend anyone doing their fellowship at the Clinic and with Olivier Amar.”
