Essential information for patients regarding COVID-19
The safety of our patients is of the utmost importance to us at Olivier Amar Practice.
We are therefore following the daily guidance from Public Health England (PHE) on the response to COVID 19. When lockdown restrictions are lifted, we will be assessing patients for COVID-19 before they arrive at our practice. We are unable to accept any admissions from patients who may be suffering from COVID-19. We do not currently undertake testing for COVID-19 this is centrally managed by the NHS and is now restricted to people requiring hospital admission.
The latest PHE Information can be accessed here.
We would ask all patients to please follow the following advice:
• Have you had contact with a person infected with COVID-19 or have you travelled from abroad in the last 14 days?
• If you have, you will need to reschedule your appointment until you’ve had 14 symptom free days in the UK.
• If you have a new continuous cough or a high temperature you should self-isolate at home for at least 7 days. For more information on home-isolation please go here
It’s very important that you do not attempt to attend your appointment. Your appointment will need to be rescheduled to a time when you have been symptom free in the UK for 14 days. For further information please click here
In this fast moving situation the daily guidance from PHE and NHS may evolve quickly and we at Olivier Amar Practice are committed to updating you accordingly.
