What is Neo laser by Aerolase®?

The Aerolase Neo laser offers patients a quick solution for comprehensive rejuvenation of skin tone and texture. The laser is known for its versatility and ability to treat a wide range of skin conditions and concerns, including: fine lines and wrinkles, skin tone and texture, facial veins, rosacea and redness, acne (NeoClear) and hyperpigmentation. Aerolase Neo is a medical laser system that utilises a 650-microsecond laser pulse technology (Nd:YAG), designed to deliver controlled energy to target tissues effectively.

Why consider Neo Laser by Aerolase®?

Most patients who have tried other lasers report that the Neo is much gentler and more pleasant. Typically, you will only feel a mild warming sensation on the skin when undergoing treatment. And unlike other rejuvenation treatments, Neo by Aerolase has no side-effects, requires no downtime, and is completely non-invasive. This means you will not have prolonged redness. The Neo laser can treat all skin types and all ages and involves no skin contact, no gels and no sprays.

This is the ideal partner to facial rejuvenation surgery or as a stand alone treatment course. My patients tell me that it is great to have one laser that addresses multiple concerns, with minimal downtime.

NeoClear Acne Treatment

Acne is a common skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. The Neo’s laser energy heats the vessels feeding the sebaceous gland to inhibit excess sebum production and prevent future breakouts. Did you know?

What happens during the treatment?

The Neo’s energy passes through the skin to selectively heat these targets without adverse effects—resulting in clear, healthy skin. The 650-microsecond pulse eliminates discomfort during treatment. Before the treatment, Mr Amar will clean your skin with a cleanser to remove any lotions, makeup, or other substances on the skin. This ensures that the treatment will be able to achieve the best results possible.

How long does the treatment take?

NeoSkin treatments typically take 15-40 minutes depending on the condition you want to be addressed and the treatment area size.

WHAT CONDITIONS CAN BE TREATED?

The laser is highly effective for the treatment of conditions such as:

  • Acne
  • Hair removal
  • Thread veins (legs and face)
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Skin tightening
  • Rosacea and redness
  • Melasma
  • Pigmentation
  • Haemangiomas
  • Sun and age spots
  • Scar improvement

How many treatments?

The number of treatments needed varies from person to person. depending on the condition being treated and the degree to which skin aging has occurred. For most patients, it is recommended that they undergo a treatment course of 4–5 sessions for rejuvenation and tightening, 3 sessions for dermatology conditions, 3-4 sessions for scar management and 6 sessions for hair removal.

Once the results you want have been achieved, subsequent sessions may be needed to maintain the results. Skin aging is an ongoing process. Fortunately, the treatment can be performed whenever your skin needs rejuvenation.

CAN ANY OTHER PROCEDURES BE DONE AT THE SAME TIME?

If you wish, Plasma rich platelet (PRP) treatment can be combined with Aerolase Neo to elevate the results and boosts the skin’s radiance and luminosity, improving texture and reducing the visible signs of ageing.

When will I see results?

Everyone’s skin is unique and therefore reacts differently to treatment. Some patients will notice immediate results, while others may see gradual results that appear over time. Typically, most patients see noticeable results after three treatments with enhanced clearance and quality of skin occuring after each subsequent treatment. It is important to understand that skin is always aging and that signs of aging will naturally reappear.

How long will the results last?

Skin continues to age every single day. Once you achieve the results you desire the length of time until you need more treatment sessions may depend on your genetics, sun exposure, environmental factors, and lifestyle. It is recommended that you receive a maintenance treatment every six months for extended results. It is also recommended that you commit to wearing sunscreen every day and that you follow an at-home skincare regimen.

What can I expect after Neo laser by Aerolase®?

You may experience a slight redness in the skin, but it will fade within a few hours.

How long after treatment can I return to normal activities?

There is no “down-time” following NeoSkin treatments. You may return to your normal daily activities immediately, though as with any laser treatment, you should wear a sun cream of 50+ SPF and avoid direct sunlight until any redness settles.
